I noticed that my BeoLab speakers connected to my BeoSound Essence2 do not switch off anymore. They stay green all the time, even if I put the Essence in standby.

I think this is since today or a few days.

Did we have a software update of the Essence2 recently?

How can I check when the last software update was?

It's a known issue.

Just power cycle the essence.

Indeed. I did power cycle and now the problem is solved.

Thanks!

Since the more recent speakers "save" electricity but not having constantly glowing red or green lights I may never know if my BL20 mk I is being powered off Surprise

BeoNut since '75

Depending on your hearing, you can hold your ear close to the ALT tweeter. If it is ON you will hear some very low volume noise I think.
