Hi,

I've seen an ebay auction telling that it's for an H3 2nd edition. Is there officially a 2nd Edition or MK2 version of the H3 headphones? What's the difference?

II don't refer to the ANC edition.

Thanks, but I didn't find any information about a 2nd generation H3 ;-)

I'v seen more and more offers of a H3 2nd generation but I can't find any explanation about the difference between H3 MK1 and H3 MK2 and I can't find any confirmation if there really is a 2nd generation of the H3 headphones.

Any hints or infos?

I have seen some for sale that has been bundled with LG phones. I don't know if the remote is working differently on these than on the original?

If my understanding is correct, Apple and Android devices use the contacts of the 3,5 mm TRRS connector differently.

With Apple, these are mapped as L, R, ground and mic. With Android, they are L, R, mic and ground. The retail H3s are made for Apple devices, so the LG-bundled ones would indeed be different.

The newest price list have two different versions of the normal H3: mk2 and andriod.

So mk2 is definitely a thing, but I have no idea what's different compared to mk1 :)

Beovision Eclipse gen2 (GX) w/ floorstand, Beolab 14.2, 4 speaker Shape and ATV4/Chromecast.

Beoplay A9mk4 GVA, Beosound 1 GVA, H2, H3, H8, E6, Beoplay EQ

I found this, reportedly from B&O customer services:

„The changes from the 1st Gen and 2nd Gen of the BeoPlay H3 are very minor. The changes are only cosmetic and features a thicker and more dense cable and remote. Furthermore the BeoPlay H3 2nd Gen also had a few design changes in order to match our overall design strategy for headphones.

No changes has been made to sound quality of the BeoPlay H3.“

Thank you for your help. Finally they updated the information on their support site. When I started this thread some time ago there was no information - as always from our beloved brand.
