Hi Guys,

I've noticed if I stand on the bare wood floor and run my fingers over the Beomaster 8000s metal surfaces I get a tingling sensation.

This doesn't happen when I stand on the carpet... And ideas? I assume it's a little bit of residual mains current... Should I be worried?

Nope,- you are just getting "in touch" with the 50hz line frequency...  ever so slightlySmile

The aluminum bezel on the BV7 is even more "exciting"

Thanks for that :-)

the joys of double insulation! I was always surprised they didn't add an earth for UK versions.

I sense the same with my MacBook Pro when I use the 2 pins plug for the charger. With the grounded wire (3 pins) it's ok.

I've noticed on the Mac book too! Seems it's fine but I still don't like it!

@Beovox145

It's connected to a pair of Beovox Pentas that I've restored. They sound absolutely fantastic but I'm still thinking about putting a pair of modern tweeters in them to give the top end a lift. I would love a pair of MS150s but they are a bit too big I fear and they are not all that common anyway.

My B&O authorized repair technician has warned me that BeoLab 8000 speakers can "become dangerously conductive" as they age. This is quite disturbing.

We didn't get into B&O because we wanted to be safe.
