First of all sorry if this is in the wrong place! Can I pick your brains please? I recently bought a Beosystem 4500 for £96! Knowing the Beomaster was faulty I still figurerd it was well worth it.....just for the CD & Tape player.
Anyway, when I plugged the Beomaster 4500 in, all I got was an audible 'click' and nothing else, no lights, nothing. Any suggestions please would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Paul
It's very common for one of the supply rectifiers to fail in these Beomasters. Are you technical, can you solder?

Whats being in the army got any thing to do with being technical?.......sorry couldn't resistor it!
Anybody?......please.
Did you try what Nick suggested; Check the rectifiers, voltage regulators, filter capacitors etc.

For fear of sounding like a rather dull west country oik, I have absolutely no idea what they look like, where to find them or how to check them.....
