Hi Guys

i was wondering what beoworlders would do if you had BV7 Mk3 tv as spare

I purchased the avant 55 last year and the trade in value was ridiculous so i decided to keep the tv

i currently have the 2 pairs ob BL8000 and a pair of BL4000 connected to the avant as well as ceiling centre speaker for the projector setup and the BV7 is in the spare room

any suuggestions would be welcomed

Depends on how many rooms you have I guess and if you have a use for it - I would most likely either use it in my bedroom, a spare room or gym.

In the past couple of years though I have just given stuff to my local charity shop rather than sell it as the money they raise goes towards good causes and it is a way of contributing. The other reason for that approach is that I got fed up with ebay and people bidding at the last moment, then getting something and complaining or saying it doesnt work and you will be reported to ebay etc. etc. In fact I am right off ebay and would rather give things away to someone who can do some good with the money and let someone else get a happy bargain than try and sell it or get given peanuts for it. By the way my good deeds were paid back by getting a pair of Beolab 8000's locally for only £100 - is all i needed was a step down transformer as they were from Japan and they work great.

I think giving to charity is a fantastic gesture and this would obviously be a lovely thing to do if you so chose. I have sold a lot of B&O on eBay over the years; between 2008-20010 particuarly and I achieved great results. I put that down to spending a lot of time creating detailed listings and start bids of 99p. I sold my BV7-III for around 6K (I forget the exact amount) with a 99p start bid; also a BS9000, BV6, 2 x Avant 32 RFs, BS3, BS8, BeoCom 2s/6000s phones, Beo 5/4 remotes, Serene, Serenata, various headphones and cables etc. I also had 100% feedback rating which makes a huge difference. If you are an honest person/seller and trust that what you sell will achieve the price its actually worth then that's enough. Yes you do get some 'interesting' people using eBay but they can be avoided with time taken and a sensible, genuine and honest ad placed. Remember, people often by the seller not the product; its all about what type of person you are and your attitude towards people and selling. Simon.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

i thought of using it in bedroom but that would mean putting it on a wall which might not be stong enough.

I thought about eBay but price is very low

i think its a very good tv to sell it at a low price

I even considered trading it in for a subwoofer

Just keep it, if you can justify that - and you have a spare location for it.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV
