Hi everyone

I'm trying to set up an extra speakers kit for my BM6500. I have a problem with a relay box though.

It seems i can't get no signal from the speakers output on the box. The transceiver seems to work and i can start the radio or the cd player or whatever from it but the speakers (CX50s) remain silent. The speakers 2 out from the BM is ok, I tested that by connecting speakers directly to it. And one other setup of x-tra speakers kit does work great, so I'm guessing there is something wrong with the box.

Does anyone know what it might be?

I have very little experience from MCL2A, I am just replacing my old MCL82s along with my BM5000.

Hi,

can you hear the relay switching on and off in your box?

Good question!

I just tested and I hear no clicking sound when pressing the mute button as I do with the box that works.

Does this mean the relay is broken?

Yes, somewhere in that area. The relay can be faulty or cannot be triggered.  Do you have electronic skills?

So, what about the supply voltage for the relay? Does it change from high to low and the other way round?

Sorry I've kept you waiting ProGram, I've not been able to check the equipment.

As I feared I couldn't figure out how to measure what you are describing but the seller of the relay box has kindly provided me with a "new" one and that one seems to be working alright.

Thank you for your time, but I probably won't be looking into this any further until I need some sound in yet another room...

Of course no problem. That's the easiest way.
