Hi,

Will the old style B&O hockey puck receivers pick up non B&O IR frequencies?

The reason I am asking is I want to control some set top boxes hidden in my loft with a lintronics 238. So I would like to have the IR receiver in the  lounge and the set top boxes controlled by the lintronics unit in the loft?

Thanks

Toby

Yes! They do. In fact, I recall Lintronic recommending this on their site at one time. The B&O hockey puck IR receiver is much better than the built-in IR receiver of the 238.

Also, I recall that there is a way to use just one B&O IR receiver to have the Lintronic code-converter pass along the B&O IR signal. I believe it required pulling out a resister from Lintronic box.

Hi,

Thanks for a very quick reply. great news as I need this after loosing the IR receivers for my Atlona PROHD44m-SR which atlona don't sell any more and have since changed the IR electronics so the new IR receivers will not work.

Thanks

Toby
