Bentley Cars promoting other luxury technologies, including B&O. The same paragraph mentions Aavik amplfiers. They may be good, but one look at the images on google makes you realise why we buy B&O.

Graham

EDIT

To be fair to Aavik, they seem to make integrated amplifiers that don't look too bad. Unfortunately all the images of them with speakers look like nothing you would allow in your living room!

..Properly scoring low on the WAF scale!

What is up with the speaker wires? They look like a fishing trawl!

That'll be the ridiculous cable stands designed to keep them off the floor to improve sound quality Stick out tongue some people actually believe in that nonsense.

So, Michael, the point is that you can have an elegant and effective solution from B&O, or you can go for an audiophool solution.

(Don't you think that the Bentley feature mentioning B&O helps promote the brand?)

But what about the interference caused by the cable stands themselves? Perhaps a smaller but more expensive (obviously) supplementary stand is required to elevate the cables even further!

...Actually if they work the infamous Denon ADKL1 network cable, it might be worth it! Stick out tongue

LINK

The customer reviews are hilarious....

Transmission of music data at rates faster than the speed of light seemed convenient,

until I realized I was hearing the music before I actually wanted to play it Laughing

The reviews for these cables are much more amusing than those for ordinary cables.........

The point is that Bentley are doing a promotional service for "sister" VW brand Audi to get their customers to choose the B&O upgrade.

To go along with the speaker cable risers, make sure you get a proper AC cable Confused
I liked the earlier comment - audiophool.  I guess you have to give some marketing credit to the manufacturers of these ridiculous products for recognizing there is a customer base out there for these kind of products. How do you keep a straight face when selling these items though?

“Given my modest front-end, the addition of the Shunyata power cords, speaker cables and interconnects transformed what was a merely a good-sounding system into a good-sounding and emotionally involving system. That was all I could have asked for.”
—Guy Lemcoe, The Audio Beat
Emotionally involving....
After spending that much on a mains cable you've no choice but to be emotionally involved !!

....or maybe he is just one of those guys, who are afraid of not getting any new gear for his reviews/his hobby, if he wrote, that they weren't 'emotionally involving'?

There are a lot of people living from making these placebo-products - and a whole lot living from reviewing them.

I looked up the prices of a Bentley.  Anybody who can afford a Bentley who wants the best and the most outrageous cables should check this.

And when you have bought a set of these, you'd also need this:

to get the best of your purchase ;-(

A used bargain...  RRP £17,495.

Who bought that new?  Seriously... what kind of person spends that money?

Still, I bet once he'd wired it up he could hear the difference... as he hung upside down from his cave ceiling.

Cool

Or almost £9,000 for a mains cable...

Link

Why don't I ever meet people like this. I could sell them my special old training shoes which have been "thoroughly run in" (for the last 18 months, three times a week) and give a truly engaging and emotional experience (the smell) plus if I send the box they can stand them off the floor!

I think £1,000 sounds fair. Any takers?

Silver ones, with Platinum and Palladium encasement and tips made of Bhurahillic Latricified Vosmillium, a compound yet to be discovered and only suspected to exist on the surface of a small moon orbiting a planet with zero magnetic interference and a mains supply so clean you could drink it.
