Hello,

I bought an lc2 from someone a while ago and have only just got around to installing it.

The bloke I bought it from said he bought it as working perfectly but he didn't have a Beolink 1000 to set it up (???) and never got around to getting one etc etc etc, and so sold it to me as untested.

I'd bought a few other bits from him with no problem so I had no reason to doubt him, anyway, I've just installed it and nothing is happening either by hand or by Beolink1000 or Beo4.

I've tried changing the little fuse in it but no joy.

Does anyone have any ideas before it goes on eBay for parts?

Thank you,

David

Have you tried resetting it?

Ah, no, I didn't know there was a reset. Do you know how to do it?

thanks,

David

I think you hold the black plastic while pressing

LIGHT, GOTO, 0, STORE, 2

Not sure. Found it in the forum.

'Resetting'?

I have always thought, that a new setting would overwrite an older one.

If, so - no resetting needed.

No, no joy unfortunately.

I don't have a goto on my Beo4 but I remember reading that scrolling to lamp under light and pressing go, would do the trick.

Maybe it's just a duff one after all?

That`s nonsense. LIGHT - GO or LIGHT - PLAY (depends on your Beo4) should activate your lamp.

- Which lamp did you connect?

- Is it 220-240V?

- did you connect the +/- wires correctly - on both ends?

- Does it work when you touch the black dome?

- Did you read the setup manual?

Hi Stefan,

I did wonder, so I tried as you suggested - no joy unfortunately.

It's a 220/240v lamp and I've double checked the wiring and changed the fuse in the lc2 and the plug.  I've tried the dome and the Beo4, it doesn't work with either, and I've gone over and over the manual and done everything correcty as far as I can see.

I spoke to the B&O engineer to see if any spare domes are available, needless to say there was no joy the either.

Oh well, it's annoying but not the end of the world - thank you for the advice though.
