Hi there,

I am looking for a replacement set of covers for my S55 speakers, I have had them around 10 years now but through a couple of house moves and knocks the plastic lugs have all but snapped off so the covers do not hold as well as they used to.

I am open to restoration ideas as I had to refoam the woofers when I picked up the system years ago. They are such lovely sounding units but the aesthetic lets them down slightly.

Would anyone know where I could buy a new pair?

Thanks in advance guys,

C

Hi,

The grill covers can be fixed even if the grill pegs have broken off. Here is a post from an older Beoworld thread where the grill pegs were replaced on a Beovox MC120.2 speaker. I have also done this type of fix on the Beovox MS150 grills. The diameter of the new peg replacement material may be a little different but the pictures should give you the idea on how to fix them.

The grill cloth can also be replaced. Starting at the bottom of this page are pictures of how to remove the grill cloth on a Beovox MS150 speaker. The S55 will be similar.

Thanks Elephant!! That would be awesome but in live in Singapore... We do, however, have some things to ship out at some point as my girlfriend has a place there. I may well take you up on that offer sooner than you think! :)
