Hi

I have a Beomaster 5000 amplifier and Beogram 5000 turntable but no speakers. I had intended to make some 2 pin din to RCA cables for my active speakers but reading through the forums i understand this is not a possibility,

What are my options? should i try and locate some old B&O speakers? How do they compare against  todays speakers.

I would prefer to use my active speakers. is there anyway of connecting them?

On the back there is an rca pre amp connector. I tried to connect that to another preamp but the sound was almost inaudible (i'm not even sure if the connector is for that purpose)

Any help greatly appreciated

If you have active speakers then just plug them straight into the RCA preamp out sockets and this will work fine. The reason you had low volume when you connected them to another preamplifier is that they are meant to drive a power amplifier (or active speakers!).

Of course you should really be using a pair of Pentas with this system, IMHO, but they can come later!
