Hello,

I am looking for a battery replacement for the Beocom 5 telephone. I refuse to get it repaired by B&O's service in NY as there is no attention to detail or customer service.

If I can find a battery I can get a tech to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Michael

Mail it to Atlantic Systems in Hanover, MA.  B&O authorized and they charge much less than the NYC repair centers.

I assume that the battery can be removed and replaced.......if not, is the two piece replacement available. Sounds like I may be fighting a losing battle.

The back cover and battery are one piece.  I don't know if you can buy this but you'd need to upgrade your Beoworld membership to gain access to the service manual as well.

I replaced my cordless B&O phones a long time ago with a $50 VTech one from Best Buy, which is superior in just about every imaginable way.

You are screwed. I sent mine to Boston B&O, as I couldn't figure out how or get the Li-ion 730 mA batteries/ backs. After non in house repair and alleged new batteries, they still die after 22 min. of use off the power source. They also have to be reset after a storm, as they power off. Want to buy 4 cheap? I plan to take MediaBob's advice.

You need tool 3459463 and back with battery 3160583. Instructions are on p.21-3 of service manual.
