I can get playlists to shuffle if I double tap the playlist.
1. Is there any way to shuffle all songs on my DLNA server from the Moment interface (jukebox)?
2. Is there any way to shuffle all tracks (or tracks from an artist) using the BeoMusic app on an iPhone?
thanks

The inner ring of the mood wheel is a kind of shuffle play for all of your songs (but i don't know if the songs on your DLNA server are taken too, or just deezer favourites)

I realized that the Moment will shuffle a playlist by double tapping it. So, the solution, if a bit awkward, is to make a playlist with all songs in it on the DLNA server. Then double tapping that playlist will shuffle it.
It would be easier (and more modern) just to have shuffle as an option on the moment and the BeoMusic app.
Hi johnbrks,
your way will certainly work, I created many playlists and shuffle them like you wrote by double tapping them. There are just two minor hickups.
After double tapping, the playlist will always start with the same song - even after starting the shuffle. I don't know why - this issue is there from the very start of the BS Moment - but it seems, that this is the last task B&O can think of finding a solution.
If the playlist is to big, it will take some time before it will start to play.

Hi johnbrks / Beroli,
Could either of you help me, because I cannot get this to work.
I am running Twonky 8.3 on a Mac Mini
I created a playlist (with iTunes) with all songs stored on the Mac.
I exported the playlis file (m3u) to the folder where Twonkey gets its music from.
Townky recognizes the playlist and I can see it in "music" / playlist.
However, when I go to playlists in the BS Moment I only see the standard playlists (last played, recently added, most played).
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Thanks!
Peter
Hi Peter,
I had to browse backwards trough the whole One Month with the Moment Thread - started from Hiort. there is a really good page with all the advices - How to create playlists for the Moment
See here

I hop, you will find the flaw in your configurations. 🤓

Many thanks for your effort and pointing me to this......
It has not yet resulted in the playlist to appear in the Moment...... yet.
I will try the usual force new content, paperclip, reset, factory setting sequence to see if that helps ;-)

I experienced a strange behaviour with Twonky 8.3 on my (late 2012) Mac mini 10.11.6, its not running very stable and shutting itself to Off mode regularly. This mostly happens after the server was not reachable wit RPC anymore. Reinstalling and trying different configurations change nothing to this behaviour, it keeps behaving badly.
Returning to 8.2.1 gives the best results in stability and also interaction with the Beosound Moment.
Installing and viewing a m3u playlist on Twonky and making it visible on the Jukebox is done by me, with doing a forcing of new content. Sometimes its necessary to do a Jukebox paperclip reset of 5s with the device removed from the hub if its a big list.

thanks. I have the same configuration 8.3 / 10.11.6. I do have the occasional hick up so might try to go back to 8.2.1 to see if that helps.
I do see the playlist now on the Moment so that works. Selecting Forcing new content did not work, so I disconnected the DLNA / Twonky Mac on the Moment and reselected it again, so it then had to re read the content. After that the playlist appeared........
By my knowing in using the Jukebox, tap or double tap a playlist made from your own DLNA music always plays in shuffle. No matter how you setup the m3u list. I tried to manually correct the m3u list by album, by A to Z, by mood... None works. Activating a DLNA playlist always starts with the same first song and then plays all other music in shuffle mode. This is not the case with Deezer input, tap or double tap gives you the opportunity to choose.
Using Beomusic on a Apple device gives you another kind of use, I can start the DLNA playlist orderly (no shuffle). The DLNA playlist is viewable orderly as albums.
A side-note: Consulting DLNA content with Beomusic on Android shows me only the name of my DLNA playlists, when opening a list there is no content inside viewable, it's also not appearing after a long wait. So there is no way to start own DLNA playlists. Very unusable Android app, in need for an urgent update.
Hi Beroli,
I don't think that the "first track issue" is a Moment's bug.
I have the same behaviour with Playmaker + NAS + Creation5 on iPad.
My guess is that's a limitation of DNLA.
BTW, I have from the beginning created a playlist with all my music that I shuffle-play.
Unfortunately it's not possible with Beomusic app :(
Kind regards,
Yann.

Shuffling playlists on the moment always starts with the same song (not sure why, but that is how it does it). it then shuffles the remainder. I use a mac and use iTunes Export to create playlists from iTunes. it works well.
