KMA
B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
Thanks for the message KMA!
Just yesterday we had some friends over. My wife used her A2 to play music for the kids who were enjoying themselves in the pool.
Same good wishes, smiles and positive thoughts out to your neck of the woods, KMA, and to all BeoWorlders!
Or instead of indulging ones self, do something amazing and don't buy another B&O products but give that money to the homeless and Big Issue sellers. When I worked in radio, i did that every year with my yearly commission. And no, I didn't earn a fortune, maybe £30K a year but doing that made me a million times happier than the old B&O BV6 or Century that I owned which quite frankly, created stress and sadness :)
And seeing the joy on their faces was priceless and something that I'll never forget :) Don't line the pockets of CEO's but instead help others less fortunate than ourselves :)
KMA:Just a quick post encouraging all BeoWorlders to enjoy the summertime! While I have been reading the forums over the past months almost daily, as a business owner – now being on a much-deserved summer vacation – I find it refreshing to have the time to contribute the little I can. Sunny days & interesting times with B&O make a good combination for a life-long B&O lover! It's also nice to see how much discussion the new & upcoming products spark. Disclaimer: I'm on a terrace, drinking wine, which might have something to do with this post of good wishes and gratitude to BeoWorlders! KMA Current setup : BeoVision 11-46 with Apple TV, Sony BDP-S790, Mac Mini, BeoLab 11 , BeoPlay A8, pair of BeoPlay S3, Beo5, BeoRemote One . B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
@ Paul W
Thank you for those profound words, truly worthwhile reflecting on!
I immediately thought of Michael McDonald : For a child
I do hope that volunteering time and donating money to worthwhile causes is something we all do regardless of the time of year. I support both KMA and PaulW's sentiments.

Duels:I support all of KMA's comments and part of Paul W's. Buying B&O and giving money to worthwhile causes don't have to be mutually exclusive.
Everybody have a lovely summertime and include some targeted niceness to others as well as enjoying the B&O stuff you've got. Even buy yourselves an A1 from your local B&O store to keep it ticking over as the money doesn't only go to the CEO!

summer wishes from me too! - there are ways of enjoying the best of both worlds - I spend my money as I wish as I earnt it and if people want to donate then that is upto them.
My contribution to charity is by helping (physically) local causes - later this month I am driving elderley pensioners to the local theatre, next week cooking burgers at the cricket ground so that any money raised goes back to local causes in the community in which I live. I donate all my old stuff to the local hospice charity shop where that money raised goes directly to the Hospices. Actually doing stuff is rewarding and fun - even if it is getting a few extra groceries to put in the food bank trolley at the supermarket.
Donating to some large charities also lines the pockets of the people who run them
Anyway, lets not get sidetracked and just enjoy the summer - I am tempted to get an A1 too

Even the CEO of 'Big Issue' takes a salary: it's at the lower end of what the charity CEOs typically take but is probably around £100K. Many charity CEO's take £200K or more. Charity begins at home..........

vikinger:On topic... Yes enjoy summer!
Ordered my A1 yesterday to add to enjoyment of the summer - as a result of this very topic! Arrives today so looking forward to using it for conference calls, camping and out and about with friends. Now need a to trade the XC70 in for a classic Volvo 240 !
