Hi all,
I am trying to move my beovision from a folding arm wall mount to the low profile STB fitting.
The problem that I have is that one of the screws from the old fitting resolutely refuses to come out of the back plate on the TV. It just spins.
Am I correct in assuming that the metal plate has nuts welded to the rear side, rather than the hole being tapped? If so, it seems that the back nut is just spinning.
Has anyone experienced the same. Do i need to remove the rear cover or can anyone recommend a quick and easy solution?
Tnx
Having read your post, my initial concern was whether the rear cover could even be removed with a bracket still attached, but I've just had a look at some BV6-23 parts I have here and it seems that the bracket attaches only to the rear cover so this should be quite straightforward (I'm assuming the 6-22 will be the same given it accepts the same brackets).
I can't see exactly what the two screws screw into as any metalwork is sandwiched between the rear cover and another plastic plate which screws in from the inside of the cover (and I don't have my tools to hand right now).
Anyway, given the rear cover is pretty simple to remove, and it looks like it will be easy enough to access the troublesome screw from the inside (at least to see what is going on), I reckon removing the rear cover is your best option right now.
Kind regards,
Martin.
I had the same issue, Ended up snapping the screw and now the TV sits on the table, never to be wall mounted again.. Doesn't help you though, but i spent hours and could not remove
Thanks Martin.
I will have a go at removing the cover and possibly use epoxy to seal the no longer captive nut.
Cheers
