Wireless1 question

Does anyone know if the following configuration is supposed to work?  I have a pair of wireless1's extending my ML network. I have both an Active and Passive connected to the receiver wireless (via ML junction box).  This usually works, but with undesired side effects - turning off the Passive often also turns off the Active, and sometimes the Active must be activated before I can get the Passive to work. 

I bought both Active and Passive used so I don't know how old they are. Could a software update fix this?  Or is this  configuration not supported and I'm lucky that it works at all?

Sorry Stan, I don't know - and I can't test as I don't have a passive.  I hope one of our technically knowledgeable folks (some of them are dealers) will answer you !

A "ML-Sub-Net" using a juntion box to distribute the ML of a Wireless receiver is NOT supported 
the "side effects" you are describing are the result !

You can use EITHER PowerLink OR MasterLink on a Wireless receiver at the same time . 

A SW-update to recent version of ALL components is strongly recomended!

BUT:

To expand a ML-Network :

You are able to connect up to 7 wireless recievers to each transmitter
You can install a maximum of 3 wireless transmitters to further expand the ML-Network
(in theory this means 3 x 7 = 21 rooms)

To each wireless receiver you are able to connect :

- via PowerLink active speakers
- via PowerLink (fully mounted) a BeoLink Passive w/o IR eye (= ML/MCL converter) to drive pasive speakers
- via MasterLink a BeoVision TV (with ML connector)
- via MasterLink a BeoLab 3500

RECOMMENDATION:

- Buy a 3rd Wireless, set it as a receiver and connect the Passive via a fully mounted PL cable
- A BeoLink Wireless, if set to receiver offers all possibilities of a BeoLink Active - use the Active for
  a further  (wired)  zone or sell it.  
- Check SW versions and update, if necessary all components to recent versions
 ( keep in mind SW update for active  and passive is done  by exchanging EPROMs)

Thanks Vienna, I was pretty sure that was the answer (not supported) and the solution (buy another wireless). Note that I am not using the PL socket on the wireless, only the ML.  I guess I should have bought a 3rd wireless instead of the Active... Oh well... I got it for a good price. 

I live near one of the main US service centers so upgrades are not a problem.

Do you happen to know if 2 receivers placed near each other will interfere? That is why I went down this current path as I had some difficulty in finding a reliable location for the first receiver, and felt adding another would potentially compound the problems.

Unless you are using analysing equipment & software for several thousend  $ / EUR,
WiFi is always a bit  "try and error"

A BeoLink Wireless, if set to receiver offers all*) possibilities of a BeoLink Active !

Use the BeoLink Active for a further (ML-wired) zone or sell it.

EDIT:
*) except the PC input - beeing exclusively available on the BeoLink Active
    Important if you want to connect a local source e.g. a Playmaker for local streaming, a non B&O source,....
    to your B&O speakers.

One more question about the Wireless 1: is there Any way of connecting a beolink wireless to a Beomaster 7000 ?,knowing that this receiver does not have inbuilt ML connection.

Ok, I think I got my answer, connect my BO 7000 to a beolink converter...
