Hi guys, we recently purchased some 4000's for us on our non b&o tv in the bedroom. I have a 3.5 mm jack from head phone socket to phono input on each speaker using line in. They are type 6637. We have a low buzzing at power up ( even without it plugged into any source). And a buzz once tv playing too. I tried the iPad on same lead and the buzzing nearly goes once it is playing . Ideas?..
Hi Bentleybaz,
If you are getting the same noise issues when connected to several different devices (eg. TV and iPad) then this could be either due to poor quality cabling, or interference from other electrical devices nearby.
It is worth powering off nearby equipment to see if the noise goes away, common causes of this type of noise include fish tanks, low voltage lighting, mobile phone or laptop chargers and solar panel inverters.
A good quality cable can help prevent noise of this kind: http://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/77--trs-2rca-.html
Kind regards, Steve.

Thanks Steve I will try a couple of better leads. I have the speakers hanging from the ceil and the power cables and speaker cabling up in the attic possibly over the light power lines etc. I will try re routing without getting near other sources. Thanks again. Dave
