Hello!

i have a beocord 7000 which turns on but only "clicks" can be heard when press ff, rewind or play. took a quick look at the cassette mechanism and 2 belts were visible(i read there were 3?) and appeared functional (belts and wheels turned without issue). Several threads online, including this one, refer me to Martin or Dillen to purchase belts kit and instructions for this problem. FYI- The unit hasn't been used more than 3x since purchased, most likely only 1x when purchased to test. i am the original owner and the system was in storage for 3 yrs if that helps. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Tom

Hello Martin,

although this post is quite old but I hope You can still supply belts for a Beocord 7000 (4941).

The cassette deck is the 3 belt version (Version 2).

Thanks and kind regards

Stefan

Hi Martin,

same problem  with BC 7000, lay, forward ,reverse, does not even dis-engage heads wen stop pressed.

upon opening found one main motor to drive belt, one thick capstan belt and a small speed sensor ( I think) belt.

BTW, the heads do not rotate when auto reverse pressed, same belt issue of an unrelated electrical problem ?

Need a set of belts me thinks ...  I understand your the go to man.

Most of these decks will indeed be in need of new belts by now.
