I would like to hear some suggestions on how to fix my Beogram 8000.
Moving to my new place I clearly forgot to lock the turntable and now when I am want to play a record I can hear the platter gently hitting something when spinning.
Can someone help?

Welcome to Beoworld. It sounds like something shifted in the chassis. What does the gap look like all around the top platter? Is it even spaced all around? Remove the top platter and check the sub-platter. Does it turn freely when you spin it by hand? Or is it scraping on something? Are all of the three leaf springs loosened and free to move?When all three suspension springs are free to move the Beogram chassis should hang from them and the spindle be centered in the opening for the platter. If something shifted you should be able to gently guide it back into position. Did you move the turntable yourself or did you box it up and have movers move it?

Check that the black subplatter has been fitted correctly to the hub.
