Not common - if the surrounds to the speakers have rotted, this is common and you can get them repaired. Works very well.

I picked these up a while back, finally got the surround to break. I'm ordering a set of surrounds from a company in denmark. Funny, I called to enquire about the product, and didnt realize I was calling them at 2am denmark time. She wasnt very pleased. But yes the surrounds have rotted. I have removed and cleaned the old surrounds from the cones, and await the new surrounds. That is them in my avater.

I guessed! There has been some discussion about these recently, but someone from B&O described these as the best passive speaker ever made by B&O. They don't have the deepest bass but everything is very accurate.

I had them re-foamed by Martin, aka Dillen here. Superb Job, and as always very reasonable price.

I have a pair os original white Beovox S120 which is the early version but ver close to be the same.

Dillen renovated them back in 2008. They still sound great!

I had some for  a while and sold them on to a fellow member. Not as good as Beovox 5000 flat panels was the conclusion I came to in the end, so they were culled. They are better than most other B&O passives though.

Take care refoaming those woofers as they are on the large side and easily misaligned.
