Hello again, my a mp/tuner's led's seem to be bust,it is obviously very dusty and in need of a good clean and it has no Arial..is it supposed to have a lead/arial coming from the back?
I managed to get a very faint signal on an fm channel, does that mean its probably all working ok?
Thanx guys,
Matt.
You can connect an arial to the connectors at the back.Depending on your location, a faint signal may be a good or bad sign.A dipol antenna would be ideal but the tuner in the BM1200 is quite good andif you insert a piece of wire, half a meter or so, into the antenna socket, itshould be able to sound quite good on FM in most locations.
Oh, and they are not LEDs. LED's were not commonly seen at the time of BM1200 production. They are "real" filament lamps.

filament lamps eh? harder to acquire/more expensive? gulp.
well i just wammed an arial in...........it wotks perfectly :)
seriously needs some cleaning though, sliders are crackly.
dya know where i might get it restored? and roughly how much?
The lamps are not particularly expensive. I can supply them.I've done many restorations but I'm in Denmark. Not impossible but shipping back and forth could cost a little.
