Although problems with Beolink 7000 are in many threads, i'd like to open a new one.
I too bought a second hand Beolink 7000. In a rather good shape. Batterypack did not load, but i renewed the battery pack and it all works fine.
Whats not working fine is the blue backlight, but that problem is solved in other threads.
My question is: when you lay down the Beolink 7000 it is supposed to lift forward. It does not and it does not make any sound proving it tries to. What can be wrong there? What can i expect opening the Beolink? I'm not a technician, i managed to solder the batterypack, but that was my very first expirience on soldering.
Anyone some ideas?
I would suggest first seeing how it is setup. Press Panel, then Setup, and see if it's set to Auto (top left corner of backlight section). To see if it moves manually, Press Panel, then Move (lower left corner of backlight section).
Old thread, but same question.
I got myself a Beolink 7000, and I´ve just renewed the battery and have capacitors on their way to solve the 2-way communication issues. When I press "panel" and "move" it raises as it should, and it goes back when it´s put back in the charger.
But I was wondering too; when it´s set to "auto", shouldn´t it move by itself? If it sits on the table, and I touch the metal, it wakes up fine - but it doesn´t lift no matter if the setting is "manual" or "auto".

there are two small plastic round protrusions on the back at the 2 lower corners. These will be pushed in and will then touch the internal switches when it is placed on a flat even surface. Make sure they are there and that they move freely. Push in lightly and each one should go in and come back out on its own.
They do collect some lint, etc over time and may need a shot of canned air, or in the worst case remove/clean and replace.
Thanks a lot for your input. They are both there, and seems to move freely. Will try the compressed air - or alternatively, the hard route of dismantling.
Yesterday I replaced the 5 capacitors and got the two-way communication up at running again. Then I replaced the battery, so now everything is good as new. The reason for the remote not moving automatically was that the old battery was slightly to big, causing the lid over the battery compartment to stick out a little. With the new battery it sits perfectly flat, so the "auto movement" now works as well. What a joy :)
