Hi all

I recently purchased a Beogram 4004 turntable and bombaster 1900 amplifier.

The Beogram has 7-pin DIN out but the Bombaster has 5-pin DIN in.

I am having real trouble finding an adaptor/cable to make this work - can anyone help?

Also, do I need to have a pre-amp between the 4004 and 1900?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Bobby

Hi Bobby,

Welcome to Beoworld!

If the Beogram has the original B&O cable fitted, then you don't need an adapter - if you look into the two end pins in the 7 pin DIN plug, you should see a slot in the ends.  These two pins can be removed using a small flat bladed screwdriver to allow the Beogram to be used with older Beomasters that had 5 pin sockets.

Please save the pins when you remove them, as you are sure to need them if you change the Beomaster in the future and the pins are no longer available......

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.
