Hi all veterans,
Would love to hear some of your most affordable setups of Beolab 3 with non-BO TV! I plan to get a 65" TV soon and would like to set it up with BO speakers.
Thanks in advance.
Hi williamhotelie,
The most affordable option is to go for a TV that has a headphone socket, then you just need a simple cable to connect a pair of Beolab 3 speakers directly to the TV:-

Adding a receiver or pre-amp will help with quality and control of the sound, but this is the most affordable option to start you off.
Kind regards, Steve.

true. i guess other than plug it in via the headphone socket...
would the S8 connector hub work with a pair of Beolab 3?
Hi,
Yes, the S8 Connection Hub can be used with any Beolab speakers. This makes the TV optical output (or fixed RCA audio output) volume controllable from the TV remote. If you need any help with cabling, please let me know the full model number of your TV, or which sockets are fitted.
thanks Steve!
just a follow up question: the first generation S8, subwoofer has 5 amps, so technically I could use Beolab 3 plugged in via the S8 subwoofer as FL, FR, and the S8 satellite speakers as RL, RR? using this set up, what would I have to do to connect to a non-BO TV?
The outputs of the S8 and Beolab 14 are intended for the S8/Beolab 14 satellite speakers only. This won't work with other speakers like Beolab 3.
so the S8 connection hub works with ANY B&O speakers, including Beolab 5, Beolab 9, and Beolab 20?
