I am looking for a DVD2 recorder in good working condition, but cosmetic appearence irrelevant. Needed as a spare for my own machine.

Why not get the Philips machine it was based on - probably much cheaper.

I had thought of that, but it will not interface with the Remote control and Timer functions of the B&O TV.

I was thinking really from a parts point of view.  The remote board will be unlikely to go wrong - it will be the mechanical bits.

Thanks Peter, that is absolutely true. Do you know the model number of the Philips machine that  the DVD2 is modelled on?
