Hi Everyone -- I've been toying with the idea of getting into the brand, and figure this will be a great place to do my homework & meet others with the shared interest.

In the near term...  I'm planning on creating a multi-room music system.  Looking forward...  I'm excited to see how it will eventually integrate into other systems as I need to upgrade & refresh my tech.

  • Living Room:
    • BeoSound Moment w/ a turntable connected to the line-in
    • BeoLab 18
    • Digital Media Library served via Plex's DLNA server
    • Streaming service through Deezer (assuming Tidal support doesn't come)
  • Bedroom
    • BeoSound 2 -- we'll see; store should have them in a month or so
  • Traveling (misc rooms & the deck)
    • BeoSound 1

Thanks in advance for everything!!!

Welcome to the forum!

You will find a wealth of knowledge regarding B&O here.

You have planned for a nice setup. A slight comment is to use Twonky rather than Plex for serving content to Moment. All experience says that that works better. It´s also what B&O propose.

As you mention, Tidal is probably not coming.

No Beovision in the plans? Smile

To All -- thanks for the warm welcome!

To Hiort -- the BeoVisions look sexy, and I definitely think one (or more) will be in my future.

I won't be purchasing one for the living room / home theater for quite awhile though....  Everything I've read seems to indicate HDR may be more impactful than 4k (considering my seating distance relative to screen size), and the lack of standardization & support for HDR creates a risk I'm unwilling to accept.

The bedroom is a different story altogether.  Due to the Android TV platform, the BeoVision 14 looks mighty attractive.  I've read some issues with slow browsing while leveraging DLNA from Plex, but I haven't read any reviews of the Android TV build of the Plex app.  If the TV's speakers are able to substitute for the BeoSound 2 & if the BeoVision would allow me to clean up the wall (no more soundbar or roku), then I see a compelling event for taking the plunge.  :)  Suppose I'll need to wait until December....

Is the antireflection glass panel as effective as the website claims?

Welcome to the forum

You have a lovely setup planned.

I would love to see how the turntable and moment would look and work together.
