Hi, I want to use my Beosystem 2300 with Passive speakers. What do I need?

The system has two power link 8 pin din connectors at the back. Does this mean that I need two seperate power amps, one for left and one for right speaker?

How is the volume controlled?

thanks in advance for your help.

Syd

Hi,

The simplest option is an MCL2P, a small power amplifier produced by B&O for some years up until 1996. These regularly crop up on eBay or from the B&O specialist resellers such as Lifestyle AV. Here's a link to the relevant page of Tim Jarman's info site, Beocentral.
