take of the BC2300 back pannel

unscrew the 6 screws ( 4x up + 2x at the base of the BC2300 holding trafo )

tilt the pcb ....and you can se mechanism of the door and adjust them

These screws are very fragile. Done it recently and you have to do it softly.

hi thanks for all replies I did discover it did exactly what was advised and still no use I have to accept after 19 years of owning it its time to say goodbye to it and replace it with a the BS3200. the cd player has been very intermittent for the last year anyhows,

I know sellshort sells re-furbed cd units but what with the door situation and all its not something im gonna chuck good money at. I paid good money to the now defunct B&O dealer in Milton Keynes to re-wire and service it some 9 years ago and to be honest it hadn't had much use since then and now its on a downward spiral im goona break it for spares.

thanks for all your help

BTW I was formerly Nokinnikon on here many years ago.

As I recall, you bought that 2300 from me, many years ago!

Hi, yes its the very one. its been absolutely brilliant. my niece around 9 years ago was mucking about with the doors and broke it somehow so had B&O of Milton Keynes re-wire and service it and was just perfect until of late the doors wouldn't close properly, if they did they were slow to.

I took the doors off it would work just fine put em back on and the same old problems. Between that, the CD laser had failed y'know the usual it would spin not play then after pushing play on the unit itself a few times the CD would finally play, so after adjusting the doors as prescribed by one the Beoworld community it still didn't work and now it has a clunk sound when you power on ive just given up on it. I would have ordered a re-furbished CD unit from sellshort if the doors were okay but as you will appreciate graham I cant justify chucking good money at it at a service centre, but I must add tho many many thanks for such a great reliable item from you. just fab!
