Dear friends of Beoworld!
I am just about adding a new ML product to my system; what would you recommend:
Should I unplug all my devices and start again one after the other or just plug in the new ML product (BS 3500)?
Thanks and best regards
Elmar
Think the general recommendation is that all sources/speakers should be powered off when adding a new.

I'm assuming you mean the NL/ML converter? If so, I believe it's recommended you turn off all of your devices (and unplug the NL/ML converter). Plug in the the device you wish to add to the NL/ML then plug the NL/ML into the mains, then power up the device you wish to connect i.e.-Beosound 9000, Beomaster 5 etc. If you have an Avant TV you can go into your "Source Menu" you should see a new device appear. Once in the Source menu, hit the red button on your remote and rename the new input to your liking so you can keep track if it. You can go back in later and set up speaker groups and sound settings. I added my Beosound 9000, Beomaster/Besound5, and a Turntable. If you don't unplug the NL/ML from the mains each time you add a source, the converter doesn't "know" you want to add a device. The above worked for me. One last note, you may need a user name & password in order to setup your NL/ML converter on your network. Good luck...Joe
Thanks you Jeo for your elaborate answer!
I have to admit that my question was very unspecific and I also could have solved my problem on my own doing some investigation...I was just adding a BS3500 to an existing setup containing BV Avant 75 - NL/ML Converter - BS9000 - BS5/BM5 and BS3200; as the setup was - and thank god is now again - running fine I wanted to make sure not to harm any electronic device;Best regards and a warm thanks
