No complaints at all since the last software update... Basic operation with the iPhone/iPad, faster start out of standby, crisp picture...
This is what should have been the case as of launch.
Very happy with my BV14!
Karel.
jimcaj:Good to hear such positive reports (From MMs original picture) Can one do this on a Horizon and is it presented in the same minimalistic way?
BV Harmony 65 / Eclipse 55 / BL 50 / 19 / 18 / BS 2 all brass
BV Horizon 48 / V1 40 / BL 17 / Beoplay S3 all black
V1 / BL 3 / BS Essence MKII / Beoplay A3 all white
BS Moment / BS 3000 / BS 3200 / BL 400 all silver
Headphones / bluetooth speakers / BLC NL-ML / BLGateway
I know…B&O virus has grown on me !
@Fansastic
Your picture (of the Horizon) shows the infos from the playback of a BS Moment there.
Mine shows, what is displayed from a connected BS Essence playing via Spotify Connect.
(What is displayed, if you play a track of an entire album, not just a single track?)
@jincaj
I actually prefer this ‘minimalistic way’.
And the screen (my screen) turns off after a short time anyway - if I want to see these infos there again, I flip my navi button/Beo4.
For the rest my (dedicated) iPad Mini will do the job.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
BeoNut since '75
I have bought a Beo Horizon one month ago and I have noticed same issues... Means not all have been fixed in meantime... The TV is brilliant but it takes sometimes up to 5 minutes to start, I have to unplug it, etc. It is really annoying because we never know if it will happen each time we start it...
As well I'm not a fan of Android TV. Also suspecting it explains most of the issues noticed already and as well the content is very poor. I don't see the added value here...
BeoVision Eclipse 55”, Beolab 18s, Beolab 19s, Beosound 1, Beoplay P2, H3, BeoRemote One IR, BeoRemote One BT, Beoplay S8, Beosound Essence MkII, BeoTime
My Horizon is currently updating.... No idea if there are any new features.
.... after the update there seems to be a faster response to commands from the Beoremote.
My BV14 updated this evening too... Remote seems a bit more responsive!
After the firmwareupdate the BeoOneRemote BT seems, as previous stated, to react faster. The startup-time of the set still takes ages. But that's probably related to the TPVision hardware.
Anyone in the the ability to have a the release notes?
have you tried it? any news or improvements?
The software experience has been poor, though seems much more stable now. As for the remote, i dont regard it as a step down particularly (and i have an infra red version for my lounge TV)..
..i haven't had the problems described above, the residual problem i have is that the source specific functions sometimes don't get sent to the TV on startup, so requires reselecting the source on the remote, and its fine from there. Generally though the TV software doesn't seem to crash very much at all, once in the last few weeks for me...
.i suspect thats as much an for iphone and Android thing. If you have low patience for quirks as described, then you will have to think about the above....reviews of Sony TVs also mention software crashes.....
My Horizon is pretty stable. Some weeks ago I deleted every single App that was even possible: the reaction of the device is now remarkably faster. I even deleted some Android-services (some of them were reinstalled, nothing went wrong).
Chromecast: well, not too bad, but for how long in future?Netflix: a shame...Youtube: not too badSky: ...
Over all I wish we had more "longtime-support" for a several-thousand-€-device, but still happy with av-qualities for both video and gaming....
