Hi all,
today I updated the SW eeproms of my two BV7-32 MK3 and now I got a major problem.
One of the BV7s doesn't even turn on. It stays red.
The other BV7 turns on, but screen stays black instead of the typical "black/white snowstorm" if no antenna is connected.
customer/service menu can't be entered on both of them.
I updated the SW to 30.08a and AC3 to 3.01a at the same time.
I was told here on beoworld that SW 30.08a is running correctly on the BV-73 MK3 even without the hd-module.
The one BV7 that turns on has a dvb-t module fitted - just for information
Does the technician has to update the SW with the service tool first to get the BV7 alive again ?
What else might be the problem ?

Update:
Both TV now have the same status.
The one that was not turning on at all has a broken eeprom socket (for eeprom no.2) on the right side which I could fix with a piece of plastic now sitting between the broken side of the socket and the metal framing. It gives enough pressure to make good contact between the socket and the eeprom.
Now the TV starts, the backlight of the screen turns on, but the picture stays black. This is the same as with the other TV set.
So I think it's normal behavior when updating the SW from 7.xx to 30.08a on the eeprom part without updating the corresponding software with the service tool, right ?
For Information: I disconnected the dvb-t tuner from the TV as it will be of no use in my setup, but that also made no difference.
Thanks for your answer.
M2 update has not been done so far. Before calling the dealer I wanted to check if eeprom update by myself was successful.
After updating another BV7 from SW7.50 to 7.94 I got the typical "snowstorm" on the screen, but updating from SW7.xx to 30.08a shows a different result - the screen stays black, but backlight is on.
Is that ok so far until m2 has been updated ?
Ok, will see what will happen if the dealer does the m2 update tomorrow.
Hope that everything is fine after that.
Just did the m2 update together with the dealer.
Everything is fine now, so I can confirm that it's normal behavior that the TV only shows black screen (but backlight on) after making the SW jump from 7.xx to 30.xx by only changing the eeproms.
Thanks everybody
