Beosound 3000 IR not working

Hi all.  Haven't been around much since the last forum, but I know your knowledge is ridiculously amazing!

When I try using the remote on my 3000 it wont work.  I havent used this item for a few years and it was working fine before.  So is this an expensive fix?  Or does anyone have some tips on getting it going?

Any suggestions would be great!

Hi there, can you see the IR receiver in front of the BeoSound blink?

Are you using it with a BeoVision connected via Masterlink?In that case, all commands go to the BV, not the BS.

If not, your BeoSound may be set to option 0 (no IR activated). You have to reactivate the IR receiver by pressing "std-by+go" on your Beo4, then access the "option" menu by pressing "list" several times, and once in the "option" menu, choose "a.opt" and press 1, this will activate the IR receiver on your BeoSound.

I hope this will work, it is the most basic reason for it not working, otherwise you're in for repairs indeed..
