Hi beolovers,

have sad day today. Couple day ago I bought pair of Beovox S45-2 speakers on Dutch bazar site. They came today, packaging and speakers case without any damage. Speakers were not playing properly, bass drivers dead on both speakers.

After opening I found displaced and broken magnet on one woofer and displaced on second one. Uff.

What are the option I have? Any chance of woofer repair? Only replacement? Sourse of such an old woofers? Thanks a lot for help.

Hi I found, that this is common problem of S45 woofers, when transpoerted (found on Boeworld). I was very angry, so I did not search my home site.

Can I replace woofer in my S45-2 speakers (type 6312) with woofer from S45 (type 6302)?

I had a problem with a shifted magnet on a vintage Yamaha speaker a few years back. I didn't want a substitute driver so I found a speaker repair shop that specialized in repairing speaker magnets and they were able to remount the magnet correctly. That was in the USA but there should be similar type specialty repair shops in Europe as there are plenty of speaker manufacturers there.

Yes. They are identical.
(But NOT from Type 6427).
