Having issues with a router at the moment as the signal will not reach around the new house. I am very tempted to buy a Horizon for one end of the house. Will the WISA signals extend to the other side of the house via a standard WiFi extender? Any suggestions before I buy something is much appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't understand what you want to achieve here ? Do you want the sound of the Horizon in one house to extend to speakers in another house leveraging WiSA ? IT means that you'll not see what you hear in the place hosting the speakers, correct ? In this case Multiroom is the solution I think.

WiSA cannot be extended with standard Wifi extenders.

Can you clarify your issue?

If you need to link the TV to your wifi network, then a network extender will work. But if your issue is related to the wireless connection between your tv and its external speakers (Which uses the Wisa standard), it has nothing to do with wifi.

I was hoping to play something like Spotify from the Horizon to WiSA compliant speakers around the house.

No - WISA does not extend. You would have to buy a transmitter one then and connect it through power link from your tv to get longer range.

Nothing I would recommend.

I think one or more Essences are your possible unpalatable answers

WISA is only for short range and mainly for DIY install.

For larger houses/ranges or places where there are many competing wifi networks wiring is the only way to go.
