Greetings,

Does anyone know what type of light bulb originally came with the SC80?  And if it's no longer available, what would be an appropriate replacement?

Thanks in advance.

The exact type of lamp depends on the type of cabinet (2056 or 2059).
My guess is, that the lamps voltage and maybe socket type differs according to export or domestic cabinets.

Parts numbers are:

8230072 Lamp for type 2056
8230074 Lamp for type 2059

The wattage seems to be undocumented but I would guess 10-15W (perfume/refrigerator type, I suppose).

Thanks very much for the information.  The cabinet is in wonderful condition, but any identifying Type or Serial # stickers are long gone.

If it helps, this is the rosewood cabinet with closed sides.

I'll see if I can cross-reference those part #s at the lighting megastore.

Thanks again!

The numbers are B&Os part numbers, I don't think they can be crossed to anything useable.

Take a photo of the socket and bring to the bulb shop, ask for something in the 10W range to fit
the socket and not with a too wide glass envelope and you'll be fine, I think.

For anyone else who may need this information:

The packaging was generic, lacking any part #s whatsoever, but my local grocery store, Kroger, had a 4 pack of "night light" bulbs for $1.67.  They fit.  Once it gets dark, I'll report on illumination properties.

Cheers.

Lights up just the right amount!  Only complaints I have are:

1.  at certain angles the bulb is clearly reflected in the turntable dust cover.

2.  can see imperfections in turntable dust cover LOL.
