Hi!My livingroom setup is a Beomaster 6500 with Beolab 8000 and a Samsung TV.My TV is connected to the Aux of the Beomaster. In another room i have a Beovision MX7000. I would like to link the MX7000 to the BM6500. The goal is to listen to music from the living room on the MX7000.
The issue is that i have a Beo4 that is programmed for the Samsung TV. When i switch it on it can either send a PC, Aux or TV signal to the Beomaster. The issue is that the Beomaster turns on AUX either way.
So the Aux is used for the Samsung TVMy question is: Can i connect the MX7000 with other sockets than the AUX (Tape or so) on the Beomaster and gain linkroom compatability?
The reason i am asking is the room is far away so i will need to buy cables an establish the link in the attic before i can test it :)
You could easily test it, if you put the BM6500 in Option 0 and place the 'new' gear in the same room.
I assume, that you want to access the sources of the 6500 (Cd, Radio etc) from that BV7000 in that other room?
If your modified Beo4 only sends commands for Pc, Aux,Tv (= A.Aux), you would not be able to hear the sound from your tv, if you change the connection (on the Beomaster) to e.g. A.Tape.
Maybe buying another (regular) Beo4 for that other room/the testing would solve the problem.
P.S. You'd better reserve that A.Tape input for a Chromecast Audio-dongle or a Playmaker...., if you already use music streaming/or want to in the future.
