Hi All,

I'm replacing some nasty looking idle current trimmers in a Beomaster 2200.  I am using 25-turn three pin encapsulated 250 ohm ones.

Should I connect the wiper pin to one of the other pins and use that and the remaining pin, or just use the wiper pin and one other?

Just wondered what the protocol is with these.

Many thanks,

Hi

Not sure about the Beomaster 2200 but on the units I have replaced these trimmers the circuit board has interconnections on the solder side where required, you will need to modify the pin orientation to fit the replacement multiturn pot, but still retain all three pins....the wiper needs to be lengthened to fit.

Hope this helps

Hi Craig,

I'm enjoying your BM4400 rebuild.

I wrote the post without demounting the component.  I now see that it's got three pins so all is now clear.

Thanks for replying.
