I've just obtained a BL Receiver 1 from eb*y, ultimately so I can use a pair of BL4000s wirelessly as rears when I get around to buying a WISA TV in the new year.
So In order to test that the Receiver 1 works, I thought I'd try to connect my BL4000's to my Moment wirelessly. So I connected the supplied PL/RJ45 cable from the RJ45 socket on the Receiver 1 to the PL1 connection on the Left BL4000, and ran a PL cable from PL2 on the left speaker to the PL2 connection on the right BL4000.
When I went into the Wireless Speaker Setup process on the Moment, the Moment immediately recognised the Receiver 1 as 'Other', and gave me the option to set the speaker to 'Left Channel', 'Right Channel' or 'None' - here I was expecting a 'Left+Right Channel' option, but selected the 'Left Channel' option initially. Anyway, when I selected a track to play, the BL4000s turned on and played wirelessly - so far, so good...
However the fact that I could only select the 'Left Channel' or 'Right Channel' as an option on the Moment has left me wondering whether I'm actually getting a 'stereo' signal, and not just a 'Left Channel' split between two speakers? I'd hate to think I need to buy a Receiver 1 for each speaker!
I suspect that all is actually OK and my uncertainty is just a consequence of the way the Moment's 'Setup Language' is phrased - but any thoughts/info/reassurance would be appreciated.
Hi Beocat47
You'll need a receiver for each speaker to have a L/R setup.

Thanks for the replies Millemissen/Hiort,
I have to say I'm astonished that I need a Receiver 1 for each speaker to get L+R. I thought the Receiver 1 would carry a Left/Right signal as I assumed most people would want a pair of speakers to operate wirelessly from a source - and even the PL cable is capable of carrying both! I appreciate that the idea is to minimise cabling, but considering each speaker - and each Receiver 1- needs a power cable anyway I didn't expect the Receiver 1 would be so singular in its action.
Luckily I bought this more out of interest and I didn't pay too much for it, but for someone to put together say a 5.1 or even a 7.1 setup wirelessly using older, non-WISA speakers, then the cost must become quite considerable. I guess I'll just have to keep a look-out for another Receiver 1 at a reasonable price...
