I think for an active lifestyle. Splash resistant and the canvas straps.

Or perhaps it's just means being particularly vigorous in the shower Wink

I always thought splash resistance was in case  you were a bit vigorous putting your beer down and spilled a little! Also I am hoping that drink beer is consisted active.

Oh yes. Much more active than not drinking.

Previously it included a charger and the old A2 could charge your phone (right?).

I think USB-C charging means more flexibility but also more profit for B&O since they don't include chargers with their USB-charged devices.

A nice update all in all.

Or indeed a smaller loss.

The charger of the A2 was nothing fancy. USBC cable is much, much cleaner/easier to use with excisting charger. One charger for phone, notebook and phone. If ur apple minded. 😉

I agree. I returned the A2 because of the really ugly charger and specifically the cable that was an old style two-merged cables style.

The 'old' leather straps will fit too, I suppose?

Can I say nice one B&O for using a more mature model to advertise rather than the normal hipster spring chickens ...

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Bang and Olufsen needs to review the website for the A2 Active.  On the US site, it says the price is USD 2,799.

They also need to mention which USB-C charger can be used.  The USB-C charger for my iPad is not as powerful as the charger for my MacBook.  Maybe it is possible that any USB-C charger can be used

They only mention a general charging time. Any charger should be fine albit slower or faster regarding available current. Fairly universal.

iPad does not come with a USB-C charger. It comes with a USB-A charger.

The A2 had a USB-C port and comes with a cable that is USB-C in one end and USB-A in one end.

It can thereby be charged with all chargers that can charge over USB, be it USB-A or USB-C. For the latter you need to buy a USB-C to USB-C cable.

I think that the more power, up to a certain degree (how much power the A2 can actually take), the quicker it will charge.

The list seems to only be: New strap USB-C charging Dust/water resistant Any word on updating the driver(s) or fixes to the bass problem? I've read some saying it is essentially gone while others still complain about current model. It would seem odd since they did a significant overhaul to the Beolit 15 for its second generation. I would love to buy one, but I'm not sure it's really worth it if most of my reservations hold true.

What changes was made to Beolit 15 and when?

I believe we're talking about the evolution from Beolit 12 to 15.

Correct, referring to evolution from 15 to 12, and there was a well documented issue with bass distortion prior to a firmware update that I believe just came out earlier this year.

Luxussound are currently doing the A2 Active for €325 - see here: https://www.luxussound.com/en/beoplay/audiosystems/beoplay-a2-active.html

I just ordered one in Stone Grey.

Their website looks to have been updated.

And the A1 is discounted on Amazon, too. B&O must be trying to shift some stock.
