moxxey:I was in Munich with a friend recently and we went in to the B&O store. He commented on how many variations of headphones B&O have on the market at the moment. It's true, they do. Very confusing. H2, H6, H7, H8 and soon H9.
Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2, BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century, BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i, BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40, BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)
Totally agree. Looks like a lack of product planning.
Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1
I have been to a few houses where sonos multiroom dominates a field that b&O dominated back in the cable days.
people are jumping off b&o for sonos and the Play range needs more multiroom, we need to see a product like the S3 with multiroom and a price to keep people interested. Maybe look at a sub and a sound bar too. It works for sonos, so should for b&O
Michael:H8 is a stupid name also. H-eight. I h8 the first edition of them :)
Millemissen:Now we have the Beoplay A1, the A2, the A3 and the A6, A8 and the A9.What will be next? And when?Sems that moving up in the figures is moving up in prize and size as well. What do you miss?MM
Connection Hub 5.1 Surround Processor? Now that's what I'm talking about! Although, I was never quite sure if B&O had licensing to officially process coded surround from Dolby and DTS, or if B&O was processing surround sound signals in the same way Bose does (a-la 'simulated' surround).
B&O is to release a new Bluetooth speaker, called Beolit 17. From information I found it looks like the successor of the Beolit 15 (the base has the same rectangular shape). The product label doesn't show much information yet.
Hallo Earle I also think it ended with "simulated" Bose surround from the BeoSystem fourth.

Nice but again an upgrade of something existing .
I would like to see something really new...

B&O video gear has been able to do this for years - so I suppose, that they payed for the licences ;-)
By the way, you don't do any 'processing surround signals', when you handle DTS or Dolby signals - you just decode these to PCM sound.
How the processing (!) of the sound is done afterwards is a different matter. This is done in the audio engines of the BSys3 and (more sofisticated) in the BSys4 by B&O.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Beolit 17 :
Peter Pan:The future innovation center in the current factory 4 in Struer, should be started now, so they could go on with this great development task -

That fantazized 'hub' would be like a shrinked BeoSystem with one HDMI-in, no tuner etc - and all sources would have to be handled in a non-B&O tv.
Who would really want to do that?
Why not just by an ordinary multi-channel preamp with line-output instead - would probably come cheaper!
I agree with you. If - then it should be something really new....but what?
@benoit: nice find! :-)
benoit: Beolit 17 :
I guess that this one will soon arrive as http://www.very.co.uk/bo-play-by-bang-amp-olufsen-beolit-17-wireless-bluetooth-speaker-ndash-natural/1600156508.prd has the photos online!
And it seems that a BeoPlay P2 is coming as well... (https://www.certipedia.com/companies/174322/product_certificates?locale=en)
and BeoPlay H4 (https://fccid.io/TTUBEOPLAYH4)...
