Hello,

does anybody have an idea when the new TV in the co-operation with LG will hit the market? I was looking at a new LG 75" the other day and I am considering buying, connecting my beloved B&O speakers with the new Almundo Suround porcessor. Or should I wait for the B&O/LG TV's?

That - indeed - is a million-dollar question.

Considering the Avant "NG" isn't even out yet, I can't see the OLED/LG soon. I'd be surprised if they meet the 2017 launch target. If it is 2017, it will be the latter stages - Q3/Q4?

What if the launch the Avant NG as 55" and drop the 75/85 versions...

....in order to make way for the (bigger) B&O/LG tv's as soon as possible.

Just a thought.

The CES is less than 2 months away. It will be interesting to see if prototypes will be presented.

+1

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

Had a look yesterday at the Loewe Bild 7 (my B&O dealer as a Bose/Loewe shop in a shopping center my wife was going).

It was the 65" LG based on display and I wasn't impressed by the picture or the sound.

The picture was good but nothing special (Arte HD channel on via tv tuner) and the sound poor to say the least. I suppose it all can do better with a good quality bluray disc or equivalent but it's only a supposition.

I liked the built quality of screen, stand and fabric back and the screen gimmick.

A big no go for me though : no equivalent of PUC and stb brackets on the back for all the boxes.

What's the point of a thin motorised stand if you can't hide and control your extra boxes ?

I wanted to save some big €€€ on a new 55" tv without the B&O badge but still different than mass products : Loewe is not the solution (unless you have a separate cabinet, extra speakers and love multi remotes).

There are one remote solutions, other than B&O.

And for shipping to anywhere in the world, MyUS.com. Excellent service, I've received even US-only Nocking Point wine shipments to Finland via MyUS Yes - thumbs up

B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.

It's very hard to judge a TVs picture unless you are using a BlueRay or good 4K source (if any are out there yet!), and with the way they set them up in most stores. Most TVs default settings are total garbage, designed only to appeal to the same kind of people stereos with the loudness contours, bass, and treble all maxed out are. I remember back when B&O tube sets first showed up in the States, my buddy who worked in the big electronics store that carried them loved them, but said he couldn't give them away as they were adjusted much closer to correct standards than the other sets, which uniformly had color temp and color saturation jacked up, as the brightest, most poke you in the eye set usually sold the most when in a wall of other sets.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad
