I received a recent flyer from Costco saying that I could purchase a Toshiba 46 inch LED HD 3D TV for £581, or a 26 inch LED with DVD for £299.
For a moment it made me question my sanity at recently spending rather more on a used Standard Def Beocenter 6. The Beocenter 6 has replaced an almost new 26" HD Phillips set in our kitchen but I have to say that the appearance of the B&O TV is simply far far superior.
The BC6 is now a link TV for our BV5 and BC2 and so provides a fully integrated set-up with synchronised sound when moving from kitchen to living room.
But would it be worth spending £3000 on a new BC6 or its equivalent? I know that at some point I am going to have to move to HD and upgrade the whole system, but for the present SD is absolutely adequate on the 42" BV5. I'm hoping that all B&O new prices are eventually going to move down, even if still remaining a multiple of the competition prices.

Apart from usually air superior sound of a B&O LCD compared to any other the biggest advantage is still the Linksystem. And for me, this is worth the much higher price. I also have a BV6-26 in my wellness room and as sound is so good I do not need any additional speakers to hear music from the main room sources.
