Hi,
I'm clearing out a house in Wiltshire and have found a Beocord 1500 reel to reel tape recorder. It looks in OK condition externally but there's no life when plugged in, so most likely not in working order. Hopefully somebody can use it for spare parts so I won't have to dump it on the tip. Any interest? (Reply needed before middle of October please).
Caroline
If anyone's tempted, I also have a spare Beocord 1500 Deluxe reel-to-reel, in need of more love than I ended up having time for.
Mine powers up, runs at correct speeds, plays back okay. What it doesn't do is record without horrible distortion or look especially cherished. But it was enough of a bargain long enough ago for me to feel very happy to make a gift of it. Sadly the dust cover didn't survive postage too well, otherwise it's complete. Currently bubblewrapped and boxed in my airing cupboard.
Maybe put these two together and make a good one? I'm in central London.
Cheers, Steve
Hello!
Very tempting Caroline!
That would complete my Beolab/Beomaster 5000 set very nicely!
And welcome to the Beoworld!
Jacques
Beocord 1500 still there ?
Guess not !
Send her an email.
Martin
I've done that Martin, twice actually!
Hello Jacques,
Thank you for answering and for welcoming me to Beoworld and sorry for the delay in replying. I've just started a new job and also gone back to work at my old job after a long holiday, so you can understand that the old Beocord is low priority right now!
I've had a few answers but I haven't promised the Beocord to anyone yet. A complication is that I work in Sweden and won't be back in England to pack and send until late October. I imagine post or carrier would be rather expensive and the machine is so heavy I can hardly lift it, But you Jacques could be lucky. You seem to be writing from Burgundy and this is a very strange coincidence indeed! The Beocord belongs to my father, who lives most of the time in near Decize and drives between there and England several times a year. I can't say when his next trip will be, but we can make contact nearer the time. Are you still interested? Whereabouts are you in Burgundy? Can you wait a few months?
Good evening!
Thanks for your reply, and forgive me for my rude insistance!
Yes I would still grab it of course!
Obviously I wouldn't mind waiting at all. I live near Chalon-sur-Saône, and my mum lives in Dijon, so I think we can manage some arrangement!
Thank you very much Caroline!
With my kindest regards,
JUST seen this Caroline!
Am I too late?
Cheers,
Jim
No mate, too late!
Mine is still available.
