Hello beofans

I have a question that wonder if anyone can answer.

I have a BV7-55 with a 7-4 and two lab 9's as front speakers.

When I first moved from a Beovision 3-32 to a centre speaker with an acoustic lens I hated it and it took a while to get used to. Now I love it the clarity is amazing.

I was thinking that in the future I will get a new avant which has its own centre speaker, when I heard the avant sound up loads you could hear the vibration of plastic but this was loud without external speakers.

My question is has anyone gone through the same journey? Do you loose any clarity moving away from the 7-4. I would keep the 9's and 6000's for 5.0 surround sound.

Any thoughts?

hi,

if your 7.55 is an mk2, I am not sure it would be an upgrade at any level. you would for sure loose the gain of the acoustic lens for center speaker. I use a bl10 better than a 7.4 but I am sure that you already feel the advantage with a bl7.4.

I have wondered the same thing. I have a BV 7-55 with BL7-4, BL 20s front and BL 12-3s rear. I have thought of "upgrading" to an Avant or BV14, but wonder if I would really gain much except a different design of the TV.

Much better impact from your BS20s. Avant has much better sound management. The difference is staggering. They will come alive.

Interesting! And exactly what I was wondering. Same with a BV14?

If the sound management is as messy than the picture management, it should take age before having a good result.

I don't know for the avant but for the bv 11 the original settings are pure shame compared to the settings of a bv 7 55.
