Hi All,

Just picked up by BeoMaster 7000 from service and the Amp is showing the letter "A" next to "RADIO", the system will not accept commands from any remote; Beo 1000 & 7000, and only powers ON via the BeoMaster power button, to power OFF you have to switch off at the mains.

Please note I had no work carried out on the BeoMaster as I was having the BeoLink serviced and they needed the amp for testing.

Something simple that I've missed ?

Cheers

In standby the master should respond to the A-option 1 instruction by blinking with the red led.

"A" means that the tuner is in AM mode. Don't remember exact, but it should change by using the TURN key on the link 1000.

I just tried it on mine; "A" really means AM (like "F" means FM)

A press on "Step" directly on the BM7000 returned it to FM Station 1 showing "1"....

Good luck,

Thanks guys...

It seems I may have other issues, I can play the CD/TAPE/PHONO from the physical buttons on the 7000 but are unable to control any functions via the 7000/1000 & Beo4 remotes, even the volume button does not respond.

Rather annoyed as there was no issue with the amp until the service agent requested it to test the repaired BeoLink 7000

BM7000 always activates RADIO mode if it is turned on by the power button. A long press on the power button should set the whole system to stdby.

Looks like you have other 7000 devices connected to your BM7000. If you activate the Beogram CD, your BM should turn on too.

Maybe the BM is set to A.OPTION 0. That`s why it doesn`t respond to remote commands. Set the system to stdby. Press SOUND - 1 - SORE on your BL1000. The led should blink, and the remote commands should work again.

Good luck

Stefan
