stupid question: Whats exactly the difference between H9 and H8 (exept "redial last number") and do I have to "upgrade"?

Couldn't this just be an upgrade to an existing product.. so many products almost the same
Would be nice if the sound is natural this time! Hopefully not with the current trend of unnatural bass elevation (including B&Os own products like the H6 MK2, H7 and H8).They look nice but as Rob.B wrote: Too many products looking the same. And I strongly hope that they WORK this time ;)

Hmm...this is interesting. When I ordered mine at just after 9am the price was £429 (and this is reflected in my order confirmation email). Now the UK price is £449.

Also, I'm pretty amazed that, at £449, I get a cloth bag to protect them with instead of a case.
Played by B&o by the book - i received an email about the H9 launch, proceeded to the purchase-page, ordered a pair and now we wait. :)
I'll get back once they´re here, it should take 2-4 working days for UPS to deliver.

But i suppose they couldn't say i want the H6 plain, the H6 with noise cancelling and the H6 with Blue tooth and Noise Cancelling - maybe thats why the diff. Anyway, i agree with you.
Now they need update the firmware to remove the last number redial from all headphones. That was just an ill-conceived idea from the start.
Anecdotal audiophile comment has it that the wired H6's are still the most authentic sounding of the range. Would love B&O to produce a top of the range product that would compete with the likes of Sennheisers HD 800's ...
The unnatural strong bass elevation of all the most recent headphones are (hopefully) just a fad and this is not the intention of Hifi or a natural music reproduction - as it was tried to achieve by all Hifi and Highend Audio manufacturers. I prefer the H6 MK1 as it has the most natural sound from all the recent B&O headphones. The bass is good enough, otherwise if I don't want good sound and just bass I could buy the cheap plastic thingy from beats. ;-)I would love a neutral and natural sounding headphone from B&O that is as good that it could be used in a studio setup. With the current headphone range this is not possible and for recording you have to go with AKG, Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic.

I thought great sound sells headphones. The Beoplay app would only be a workaround on android or Apple devices or is the sound setting stored in the headphones?

leosgonewild:Sorry, little correction: H6 are over the ear and wired H7 are over the ear and wireless with Bluetooth H8 are on ear, wireless Bluetooth with Noice cancelling H9 are over the ear, wireless with Bluetooth with noice canceling.
