Hi all, I recently acquired a second hand Beomodia 1, but unfortunately without a power supply. I saw several comments on the site about the quality of the original supply, so perhaps you know a power supply that I can buy unstead? It has to be shipped to the Netherkands, and of course preferably not too expensive :). Any spare original units that still work that any of you might have can of course also work!

The guy that sold it to me said that there never was a power supply, and that the dealer integrated it like this into his Beovision 7. I have a beovision 7 myself, so if there is any magic that lets me do this, I am all ears. Otherwise I continue to think that this guy is either mistaken or pulling my leg.

Cheers!

Hi MJBeo,

the Beomedia 1 can't be integrated into the Beovision 7, it's a seperate Box.

As the power supply any 'brick' powersupply with 12V DC and at least 5A will do well.

The original supply delivered was at its limit and was later replaced by one with the named data.

Try your local electronic supplier, ebay or amazon.

One example is : German eBay supplier  (that's not me, just one of the many dealers who supply LED power supply Smile )

The only TV where the BM1 could be integrated was the BeoVision 9. For all other TVs the BM1 was an external box.

Important, when choosing a power supply, is that the inner part of the plug is positive (12+) and the outer part is negative (12V-).

Thank you both for the quick reply.

I should probably ask the seller if this is the case. I have a universal unit which allows me to switch those, but the german ebay version does not look like it can do that as well.

For others who might also look for it: the plug size is 5.5x2.5mm. Not all power supplies have the same!

I got myself this power supply, works like a charm on the BeoMedia 1. Thanks all for the info.
