A seemingly basic question but does the pilot light on the 1202 only come on for a second or so when the LIFT button is pressed, either to start the record or to pause it?
It's lit when the mechanics are working (lift/lower etc.).It's off in standby and while playing.

Thank you for confirming Martin - for me it's a bit counterintuitive to not have it illuminated whilst playing!
