Beosound Ouverture Overture. CD player starts but then slows down & stops.

I have a Beosound Ouverture the CD player starts but then slows down & stops. Working fine until recently. Do I need to open it up to fix the problem? How would I do this?

When the CD slows down and stops, what happens next, does it:-

  1. Start up again without your intervention?
  2. Show any other fault signs?
  3. Actually play anything prior to stopping?

Have you carefully cleaned the laser lens?
