I'm having some building work done and am keen to buy some Beolab 18 for a new kitchen/diner/family room. I'm trying to plan ahead so cabling can be integrated.
My living room set up is a pair of Beolab 8000's connected to the preouts of a Marantz NR1606 with a Panasonic TV, Sky and a Sonos Connect giving me my music source into the NR1606. I have Sonos throughout so am keen to stick with this.
My question is, if I am investing in some BeoLab 18, should I really invest in a higher quality amp or does the fact they are active speakers connected to preouts mean the NR1606 is as good as anything?
What would others look at to connect some BeoLab 18 to a non B&O tv and Sonos?
Many thanks
liam
Also, would people recommend a sub for the BeoLab 18? I am hoping I can get away without but keen on people's thoughts.
Thanks
